Lunching with Lana

Lunching with Lana

Lana loves to “lunch”! One of her favorite cafes is Wild Goat Bistro, where she always has a hard time deciding between one of Mayra’s soups or an  amazing Neapolitan-style pizzas (In Season or Fig & Pig are always big hits). And Wild Goat Bistro’s lemon cake is deserving of its own blog, trust us. Since moving to Petaluma, Lana’s fallen in love with the many sweet, little local spots that are just walking distance from our home. She’s convinced she is living in Stars Hollow and is sure to see one of her friends from Gilmore Girls at any moment (she discovered tv binging is a thing this winter and finished the entire series of Gilmore Girls and then the movie too. I’ll be sharing her small town journey through a series of spots Lana adores…

Wild Goat is our regular go-to spot before Lana gets her hair done at Aya Salon, where her new best friend, Amber is a stylist (more on their cute connection later).  On this particularly chilly day, Lana went for the freshly made Potato Leek soup, while I had my usual black and white quinoa salad. Seriously the best, this has butternut squash, bacon and the most amazing balsamic dressing ever. Did I mention goat cheese? I’m happy to lunch with Lana! Enjoy the photos and head to Wild Goat, housed in the historic Great Petaluma Mill the next time you plan a visit to Sonoma County.
